Privacy policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026

Phase is made and maintained by Alper Citak under the name Pantry Games. Alper Citak is responsible for the personal information processed for the purposes described in this policy (the data controller). This policy describes how Phase handles information. It applies to Phase; other games may have their own policies. Contact us at pantrygamesdev@gmail.com about privacy questions or requests.

Information stored on your device

Phase stores your high score, sound and haptic preferences, selected theme, rewarded theme access, and a local record of purchased themes on your device. Phase does not require you to create a player account. The current implementation does not send your high score to a leaderboard.

Rewarded advertising

You can choose to watch a Google AdMob rewarded ad to unlock temporary theme access. Phase requests non-personalized ads and uses Google’s consent tools before requesting ads. Non-personalized ads can still process identifiers, IP addresses, device information, and ad interactions for delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention; they do not mean that no data is processed.

Where Google’s consent tools require it, you can revisit your ad privacy choices through the app’s settings. Device privacy controls may also limit advertising identifiers. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps.

Purchases

Optional theme purchases are handled by your app store and RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes an app-specific identifier, purchase and transaction information, and entitlement status so Phase can unlock and restore your themes. We also use RevenueCat’s dashboard purchase analytics and reports to understand theme purchases and revenue trends and improve our purchase offerings. Phase does not ask you to enter payment card details; payment is handled by the store. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and your store’s privacy policy: Apple or Google.

Crash reports and diagnostics

Phase uses Sentry in production builds to report errors and crashes. Reports may include error details, device and operating system information, app version, and diagnostic context. The app disables Sentry’s default collection of personal information. This setting does not make all diagnostic information anonymous. We use reports to investigate problems and improve reliability. See Sentry’s privacy policy.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to answer your request and resolve the issue. Avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for support.

This website

This site does not include analytics scripts, advertising, account registration, or tracking cookies. When hosted on Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare processes requests, including connection and technical information such as your IP address, to serve and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Legal bases for processing

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Providing requested features and purchases (performance of a contract): processing needed to deliver the game features you request, verify optional theme purchases, and restore eligible purchases.
  • Purchase analytics (legitimate interests): using RevenueCat’s dashboard reporting to understand theme purchases and revenue trends and improve our purchase offerings. Our interest is understanding how purchases support Phase and making informed decisions about its themes. This basis applies only where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  • Reliability, support, and security (legitimate interests): diagnosing crashes, responding to general questions and feedback, and protecting the game and website from abuse. Our interests are keeping Phase reliable, helping players, and protecting our services. This basis applies only where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  • Advertising consent: where consent is required for advertising-related processing or access to information on your device, we rely on your consent through Google’s consent tools. You can change or withdraw that consent using the available privacy controls. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Choosing not to watch rewarded ads does not prevent you from playing the core game.
  • Legal obligations: retaining or disclosing information when required by applicable law, including responding to valid legal requests.

Apple, Google, and other providers may also process information for their own purposes under the legal bases explained in their privacy notices.

Retention and deletion

Local game data stays on your device until you clear the app’s data or remove the app, subject to your operating system’s backup and restore behavior. Clearing local data does not delete app-store transaction records or RevenueCat purchase records, and purchases may be restored.

Retention depends on the purpose and type of information:

  • Purchase and entitlement records: records are retained while needed to verify ownership, restore purchased themes, handle refunds or disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations. Because a purchased theme can remain available for continued use, these records may be needed after your last game session. Apple and Google retain their own transaction records under their policies.
  • Diagnostic events: Sentry automatically expires events according to its service retention schedule and the applicable plan. Any diagnostic information kept separately for an investigation is retained only while needed to investigate and resolve the problem or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Support correspondence: retention is determined by whether the request remains open, whether related follow-up is needed, and whether records are needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. Information that is no longer needed for those purposes is deleted.
  • Advertising and website-delivery records: Google and Cloudflare apply their own retention schedules for information they process for their own purposes, as explained in their linked privacy policies. Pantry Games does not maintain a separate advertising profile of you.

To request deletion of information held by Pantry Games or processed on our behalf, email pantrygamesdev@gmail.com. Deletion may be limited where information is still needed to provide an entitlement you wish to keep, comply with law, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We will explain any applicable limitation. Removing the app alone does not send a deletion request to service providers.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the applicable law and processing basis, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information; restrict processing; receive a portable copy of information; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Email pantrygamesdev@gmail.com with your request. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and locate the records, especially because Phase has no player accounts. Do not send passwords, payment card details, or identity documents unless we explain why additional verification is necessary.

For requests under GDPR, we respond without undue delay and normally within one month. Where permitted because of complexity or the number of requests, this period may be extended by up to two further months; we will explain the extension within the first month. Requests are normally free of charge.

You may also complain to your local supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. You do not need to contact us first to make a complaint.

Children

Phase is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Phase or support email, contact us so we can investigate and respond.

International processing

Our service providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where GDPR requires safeguards for those transfers, the relevant arrangements may use an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

RevenueCat describes its transfer safeguards and incorporates applicable Standard Contractual Clauses in its Data Processing Addendum. Sentry describes its transfer mechanisms in its international data-transfer information. Google and Cloudflare describe their international processing and safeguards in their linked privacy policies. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards relevant to data processed on our behalf.

Changes

We may update this policy when Phase or its services change. The published version will show its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for material changes.
